| no partners | | | A long awaited trip to the Gilbert Riparian Area was finally on the schedule. My wife and mother in law headed out shortly after 7. We were greeted by a host of hot air balloons just north of Jomax along the 17. We arrived there about 8:15. Leaving Mom to sit and watch the ducks we headed out. We walked for a while then headed back for a rest before I headed out solo.I had not seen anything noteworthy except a Great Egret up until now. However I managed to hit the jackpot with getting a shot of the Blue Throated Black Warbler that was causing a stir and the Roseate Spoonbill. I also got a Yellow Rumped Warbler another new bird for me. Return visits will definitely be in order! |
