Now that cooler mornings are here a return trip to the Glendale Recharge Ponds was in order. Saw an awesome looking smoke filtered sun in my rearview mirror as I headed down the 101. As I walked around I discovered that there were some serious birders out. I counted 4 guys armed with spotting scopes on tripods and serious camera outfits. When I queried them they said that nothing noteworthy was about. But they did mention some Sanderlings were present. I walked around for almost 2 hours and enjoyed the time.
