| no partners | | We actually drove the loop as I had 3 seniors with me and I didn't want them to miss out on this beautiful countryside. The road is in pretty good condition although when you come in from the Snow Bowl side, the first part is barely wide enough for two vehicles and does require pulling over now and then.
We came up here based on reading about Hart Prairie on Hike Arizona and because we wanted to see the wildflowers. The wildflowers were few but the prairie and the drive was beautiful. And who can beat that great temp, 73 with broken clouds. The aspen lined the road; especially after you got by what my brother called sled hill.
As you come out on the other side you can see the remnants of a fire. Doesn't look like many of the evergreen trees are coming back although it looks like there is some planted aspen. |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
