After getting rained and hailed on along the Red Mountain trail we decided to have lunch at the Slate Mountain trailhead and wait for the weather to improve. It is a good thing we did.

This was a wonderful hike. The temperature was perfect. The sky was very dramatic, making for some great photography.
We did not see another soul along the trail which was nice for the Weims to be able to get a little off-leash time in.
