| no partners | | This is an offroad triplog. Did two trails in the Table Mesa Recreation area. Lower and Upper Terminator, these are officially marked trails from the BLM TV2 and TV3, TV = Technical Vehicle. You need 4wd and high clearance for these. They are located off Table Mesa rd.
We used the Little Pan staging area for a stating point. Weather was great, and the river crossing on Table Mesa road was low. Luckily neither of these trails were crowded. We did bypass some of the more extreme obstacles. I'm a little embarrassed that in all my years of poking around the desert, this was my first time on these particular trails. The trails can be wet since its a wash, but we lucked out and only some water was present. Start to finish lower to upper terminator is only 2.1 miles but will take several hours. Lower has quite a few major obstacles, most with bypasses. Upper really only had one major one we bypassed, but the second part of Upper is a boulder field/rock garden. Some hiking did take place. there was a Jeep out there that were pretty new to offroading and tagged along behind us. the 3 passengers they had walked the trail. We helped spot them, with open diffs they had some trouble on a couple spots and decided not to do Upper which was probably a good idea. A great time on the trail that day.
