It was nice to get out of town again for a hike. It rained on and off on the drive up. Arrived at the trailhead and about 8am. The upper lot by the bridge was full already and cars were filling in the small area on the side of the road. Parked at the Derrick trailhead and there was only 2 other cars there. Trail was great, overcast the entire time, and the forest seemed sort of damp. Creek was amazing as usual. Arrived at the springs, very enjoyable as usual. There was a larger group camped in the open area just above the springs. all the parking was full upon returning to my truck. given the amount of cars, the trail did not seem crowded.
