Basically what I did was I was scouting routes on google maps and saw the spot marked as Bulldog Saddle on the Pass Mountain trail. I parked at the Meridian Trail Head, got there at 6am had to wait until about 6:20 for some light. head out, crossed the wash at the spot I saw from satellite views and connected over to Pass mountain trail. Hike up to the spot marked as Bulldog saddle and enjoyed the views in both directions. I got almost 2.0 miles exactly from meridian trailhead. This hike was awesome. I really enjoyed this, I'm not sure if its because I've been doing the same urban hikes over and over, but I really did enjoy this hike. Very few people on the way up which I liked. A few more were coming up as I was coming down, not bad, but there was one group of about 20 or so people. When I got back to the Meridian Trailhead, the parking was full and lots of cars parked on both sides of the road. Once again, I really liked this hike! Maybe next time I will do it the way the official route says. |
