| no partners | | | About a year or more ago, I was returning from a driving adventure somewhere beyond 7 springs, and I saw this trailhead on the side of the road. I later looked it up and saw that there was water and thought, I should go there some day. This was that day. Got there about 7:30, 1 other car there, people still sitting inside. I headed out with the directions drop into the wash, follow wash, turn left at next wash. That worked out perfect. I will say there are about 10 different options to drop down into the wash. on the way down I saw a side trail, that looked more well traveled than the main wash itself so I took it. It went up and over and into a smaller wash that then connected back to the main wash. From the looks of things this was the horse bypass. Found the falls fairly easily. Wasn't sure what to expect for water flow, but there was a decent amount. I was the first one there that morning, hung out until a group of 5 showed up, then I passed several groups in as I was on my way out. Stuck to the main wash all the way back, found the old car, figured with all the climbing over rocks and under trees in the one section is why the horses use the bypass. Liked it out there. |
