I've hiked on the north side of Lake Pleasant Regional Park a couple times but it was a little different today. The Agua Fria was dry and I could drive to parking lot at Boulder Creek. I didn't know this existed and maybe it's not well known, but I saw 5-10 vehicles putting boats in here.

The park was manned by three volunteers who I found friendly and helpful (and forgiving since I couldn't pay the $7 fee - I haven't had any cash for months). They explained that eagle closure rules were in effect (2nd week in a row I'd run into this) and I did my best to comply.

I had information there were petroglyphs in the area and I found some - nothing too impressive until the last one of the day which was nice. Happy ending.
