Got to the Gila Cliff Dwellings about 10:00 am. A 2 hr drive north of Silver City. Only 50 Miles but a “ long and winding road.” The walk started off climbing right away but the scenery of the cliffs and canyons were fantastic!! We ran into an older lady coming back down the trail which was a smart choice because the climb gets steep in places. Few people on the walk but not to bad. The dwellings were amazing to see how people lived back in the day. Normally you can walk thru the Dwellings but the park is still in covid mode!!

Social Distancing!! Inside was small, I guess! What we did get to see was great and of course pics don't give the whole story. The trail was well maintained. Hung around the park for a while before the long boring drive back!! Long drive but worth it!! Great day for a stroll!! HAPPY HIKING!!
