| no partners | | | Just had to get out and do a little late afternoon hike. Been a while since I was last here. Things have greened up nicely and the saguaros look less deflated. Heard the report of a pistol up the valley as I started out. Toward the top I found the source: some one had shot a rattler in the head and left it on the trail for all to see. I pushed it off to the side. What's wrong with people? Mother Nature saw my distress and, just up the trail, gave me a nice tortoise encounter. He or she was nom-nomming a leafy green plant. |
