I've lived in Arizona for over two decades and never set foot in the Mazatzals. I think it was the Willow Fire that put me off this range for so long. I just had to wait 18 years for the vegetation to come back. The flow at the falls was pretty low, and I look forward to coming back in wetter conditions. I had originally planned to walk up five miles and go back, but once I was at five, six seemed like a logical next step :D I went ahead and walked up to the intersection with the AZT and admired the golf ball all the way across the Verde.
