Repeating a route from a year or so ago, I wanted to revisit the sculpted rock washes after the recent rains. I was rewarded with flowing water through my favorite sections of the trail. I wanted to splash some water on my head to cool down a bit, but the pools were less-than cool and refreshing. On the way back, I really started to feel the heat (89 and humid) and ran through most of my water pretty quickly. Spotted another desert tortoise on trail - second one this week. They're loving the fresh greenery that's sprouted up.
