| no partners | | we were just going to fish, but i really hated all the algae since the lake level was so low, so i decided to hike around the lake. there are two named trails, and then some various routes to take in between them. i started in the middle, a bit off the Rocky Bluff Trail (https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/asnf/re ... &actid=104) and went toward the dam, where the trail ends and the route finding becomes a little more adventurous. you get almost all the way around and then you see the end of the other trail, the Three Oaks Trail https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/asnf/re ... &actid=104. i'm a bit surprised that neither one of these trails have write-ups here for me to link (i know joe, time for me to author a couple of trail descriptions). i just got a new camera, so i was figuring out all the little quirks of both the camera and the user errors, and so i ended up using my phone for most. photos coming *soon* |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate what was of particular note to me were the number of different kinds of wildflowers, not that there were a lot of flowers, but everywhere i looked, there was a unique variety. |
