Hiked up to Cast Lake, then west along the ridge to West Zig Zag Mtn and back down. Trailhead access is rough: 4x4/high clearance needed. Lots of solitude- only saw 1 other person at Cast Lake. Trail is never hard to follow, but it's a bit rugged and the section along the ridge was overgrown with bear grass and rhododendrons which wasn't super fun.
