| no partners | | A great backpacking trip deep into my favorite wilderness introducing and guiding my girlfriends dad and brother into this wild and untamed country.
Ruins, petroglyphs, artifacts and a historic cabin were just some of the points of interests seen throughout the trip.
Air temps with a max in the high 60’s during the day and low 40’s at night made for ideal conditions, although anyone that’s carried a hefty pack in the shade less high desert knows the Arizona sun can be taxing on the body any time of year.
Record monsoons left more dead dried and cured flashy fuel then I’ve ever seen out here, the usual fun walking off trail sections are coated with 2-3 foot carpets of dead wildflowers and grass.
All in all a very fulfilling trip in a slightly new area for me, slowly scratching away the surface of this vast and sacred land I’ve grown to know and love fondly over the years. |
