Andrew and I (and the dog) did this via Terrapin. I was expecting the worst from the Siphon Fire but everything looked great overall. In fact it felt more like Maui than the desert after all the rain. Our favorite was East Boulder Canyon which had flowing water and served as a perfect lunch break. But the entire trail was visually stunning with the wet rocks and mostly cloudy skies.

We were greeted by Preston, John, and Zane (and beer) at the TH lot. They had done Dacite Mesa and shuttled us back around to First Water before dinner at Handlebar.
