A few weeks ago, gazing into Bulldog Canyon from Bulldog Saddle, John and I speculated about whether there were some routes down there. It was a heated debate until we spent 5 minutes checking HAZ.

We drove in via Wolverine Rd without dogs, which was the right move. This is a beautiful, unique hike, but a bit treacherous on the descent (at least with dogs on leash). The permitted/4wd access keeps the crowds at bay. Gobs of lupine already. Amazing views. We will be back for sure.
