Bruce and I have been trying to do a hike around New Years for about 11 years now. His son Rob along with a few Hazers joined us as well. We started late hoping it would have warmed up a little but the wind had us shivering at the start. A mile in and it wasn’t to bad. More of a trail than I’d thought there would be and the off trail wasn’t as thick as I had feared. There was some ice and running water. The ground being saturated did have you sinking a foot here and there. The views up there were great!! Eventually Wally, Preston, and I headed back while the rest hit the second summit. We were almost down when Wally pointed out the rest of the group on the second summit. It was cool seeing them from that angle! I didn’t get out enough this last year so it was a treat to see so many Hazers!! Good to catch up a little and share some laughs!! Nice to meet Rob as well! Good times! Thanks everyone! Like HAZ, you rock!!
