The day started with an early morning ride/bounce out to the Pigeon Springs Trailhead. Four Peaks road has seen better days. The morning was brisk but nice once you got moving on the trail. Trail conditions were good with the exception of some melted and refrozen snow that made the Four Peaks trail a no go without yaktrax or spikes. We turned back and stopped for lunch. Joe sent me up a hill to find a ruin and then we continued on. We temporarily lost Andy but he found his way back. Nice hike but be ready for slick trails on north facing slopes for the immediate future.
