A quick hike before it heats up. I wanted something close that I could get done early. Yellow Peak is a fun scramble that's usually overlooked. There were at least 15 vehicles at the trailhead at 6:30am. I think most were campers as I hiked Second Water and Black Mesa trail with passing another hiker. I was on top of Yellow Peak just after 8am. There was a new summit register so I signed in. I took a side route down but didn't find anything new. Made my out on the Dutchman trail while other hikers and horse riders were coming in. A good day to be out on the trail.
