Started from the new Cross F trailhead and went up the rocky canyon under the power lines and intersected the AZT just north of FR 393. Took a side trip up the hill just east of the AZT. Nothing interesting up there. Spent a couple of hours brushing the trail from FR 393 to the Cross F connector trail (Little Saddle Mountain trail).
Hiked north another couple of miles checking for any deadfall, none found, and headed back to the trailhead.
