| no partners | | Fifth trip riding between Bush and Beeline Highways.
Having already reached the most interesting spots from Bush/Beeline interchange to the Tonto NF/SRPMIC border I had no specific goal for this trip and simply wandered every-which-way seeking to create a challenging but fun route to use as a regular workout ride.
That said, about the only things of note this trip was missing a photo of a jackrabbit, getting a photo of a coyote hiding behind a bush (which of course is invisible in the resulting photo) and a photo of a very forlorn Salt River horse traversing an area almost completely devoid of all vegetation.
Comparing the photo to one I took in the same spot in mid-April gave it a truly apocalyptic look... just a sign of the hot & dry times, no less.
After five trips I should have enough information to create a regular biking route. We'll see how that goes. |
