Car camping 4th of July weekend on the North Rim we stopped by Widforss Trail on the way. It's an easy trail in the pines and many good viewpoints along the way. The view of The Transept Canyon is worth the effort on it's own but there is still the view at the end of trail. We took a break at both viewpoints but lunch was at trails end overlooking Widforss Point and rest of the canyon.

After lunch we hiked back the same way enjoying the cool temps. Even had a few rain sprinkles on the way back but nothing much. Great hike if you want to get some miles in without too much effort!
