| partners | | Hiked into Tonto Creek with Chumley, Jonny and Joel for several days of exploring pools and the canyon. Accessed via Green Valley Creek and then swim/hike up canyon to Spring Creek confluence and camp for couple of nights. Great pools along the way and although it was pretty hot the water was still refreshing.
Second day while Jonny and Joel did the usual picture stuff Chumley and I ventured upstream a few miles to some really great pools and cascades. Spent several hours in this section before swim/hike back to camp. Along the way ran into Johnny and Joel heading to spot we just left to get the afternoon light. Back at camp another float at the pools near camp to top off the day. Jonny and Joel returned just after dark and had another relaxing night in camp.
On Sunday I had to hike out while the others stayed another day. The swim/hike out was same as the way in minus the company. In no rush I took my time enjoying the pools and ended up keeping my floaty inflated much longer than I anticipated. Every pool just another reason to stay a little longer!! Eventually made it to the Green Valley Creek exit and hiked out to the vehicle. Great weekend of pool hopping!! |
