| partners | | We arrived in the greater Cannonville metroplex early enough in the afternoon and found a nice spot to camp and got all set up. With plenty of daylight left, it made sense to knock out a few miles and stretch our legs after the long drive to our poly neighbor.
This one is a great little loop with impressive geology and scenery throughout, and a little more elevation change than we were expecting. We added the Cool Cave Loop extension and the quick out n back to Panorama Point, but opted against the extra 3 miles of Shepherds Loop on the northwest corner.
About halfway through the wind picked up and it began to rain lightly as storm clouds moved off the snow-covered Bryce rim and headed our way. One of us had prepared for this possibility.
Park entrance is now $10/vehicle, and only $5 the next day if you keep your receipt. |
