There was water in both First and Second Water...and it was running. It was a beautiful day for this hike!! We enjoyed it very much. Did the trek in my tennies since my hiking boots are STILL wet from Seven Falls... My ankles will be sore tomorrow, but it's doable in tennies. Would recommend using boots if you have them though because there are several areas on the way down that are quite steep and have a lot of loose rock.
Oh and in Garden Valley, make sure you notice the arch off to the right and it becomes visible again on the left once you're around that peak. And watch your step when you see it - the horses have made some deep tracks that could really break your ankle if you weren't careful. |
