| no partners | | I hiked this trail once before, but in the winter when the lake was frozen over and covered with snow. That was a cool experience, but the lake views were obviously much nicer in the summer. Also, I was able on this trip to visit the two additional sister lakes--Florence and Lillian.
This is a very popular trail. We went on a Thursday morning and still saw 50 people on the trail. I can only imagine what a zoo this is on the weekends. I suspect that most visitors don't go to the other two lakes (and may not know they even exist, as they are not visible from Lake Blanche and don't get any love in the trail name ...). So, if you want to get away from the crowds, head over there. Both were worth a visit. |
