Follow Kokee Rd (HA550) all the way to the end. We were lucky enough to have dry weather at one of the rainest spots on earth. There were still spots where you had to be careful or you'd be on your arse in a heartbeat. I can see where some had been using microspikes of some sort.... good thinking.
I did not hike this entire trail. I took it as far as the Pihea Peak. Views of the Na Pali coast will not be done justice via photos. [ youtube video ]
This is another recommended hike, as long as you get there prior to the cloud cover moving in. It was perfectly clear when I started. I could see clouds starting to make their way up the cliffs and it was on again off again views by the end of the hike. |
