| no partners | | In Kauai for vacation and selected this hike as many in Waimea Canyon hikes were to difficult for us or required a high clearance vehicle to get to the TH. This hike is at the termination point of the road that runs through Waimea Canyon. We got to the TH at 9:30 AM and got the last legal spot. When we came out at about 11:30 the lot was a zoo with cars and half a dozen on the road coming in. Auto PlayStation in parking lot. $10 per vehicle and $5 per person.
Two words sum up this hike views and mud. Mud was not bad this day and views were not blocked by fog or clouds. We did not go to the finish as folks were telling us the views did not get much better.
Took a lot of photos and talked to a lot of fellow tourist. |
