| no partners | | My first climb since healing up from a collarbone injury. (actually my sternoclavicular joint is still under medical supervision) Did an easy route to make sure all ligaments were cooperating. We went up the West Corner of Tom's Thumb which is "mostly" a class IV scramble but roped up to be on the safe side. I think we mixed a couple of routes together making it a 2 pitch climb and a little tougher than a class IV is some spots. It was good practice. We cleaned up the anchor at the top so it's all nice and tidy now. Enjoyed the 140 foot rap off the top. Log books on the top are full---will take a new one on my next trip...unless one of you beats me to it.
It was good to be back on the rock and rope! Still not coordinated enough to lug the big camera while climbing......took it with me for the hike and then chickened out and left it at the bottom. |
