On Sunday we snowshoed to Jacob Lake (really a small pond) and the ranger station nearby. Ranger station was a nice spot with picnic tables and benches on the grounds. Took a break there with snacks and a beverage.
After the break we headed back to the lodge. On the way there we followed the actual trail to Jacob Lake but on the way back we cut the corner and snowshoed through the woods to make it kind of a loop. Still didn't see anyone out and about. When asked the lodge staff said there were probably only 10 people there including us...pretty quiet!! |
