We wanted something close to town and hoped to find a bit of color in Lime Creek. Kind of a late start around 9am but still chilly. Hiked up to the divide and took a short break with great views into Lime Creek. At that point we could see there was some color in the creek.

After the break began the long descent into Lime Creek. Reaching the creek we took another break with water flowing in the lower creek section. Then headed upstream to the cabin site and the spring. There was a trickle in the spring but good enough to fill up a Nalgene bottle in about a minute if needed.

Done at the cabin we did a quick trip over to the glyphs panel before hiking back out the same way. The hike out is long ascent of around 2000 aeg back to the divide. It's only 1 mile from the divide down to the vehicle so it was quick end to the hike.
