| no partners | | My son's first camping trip. He and I went with a friend and his 2 boys and had a blast. Small amount of water still flowing here, and it's clean and clear almost everywhere.
We hiked upstream, through the concrete underpass and the big metal corrugated draining pipe to a spot where there was a pool too deep to cross without swimming and no way around it. Then we turned around and went a couple of miles back downstream. Played rock wars, a group of us getting on each side of the creek, grabbing stones and throwing them into the water in front of each other to try to soak each other. I threw rocks until I scraped the outer layer of skin off most of my palms! We had a blast.
While taking a break for lunch, I saw someone that looked just like SuperstitionGuy. Almost shouted over at him but thought, naaaah, couldn't be. Find out on the HAZ site that it was. What a coincidence! Thanks, SuperstitionGuy, for the recommendation to take the kids here. Great spot. |
