| partners | | Fun day with the N AZ Hiking group. Once we got people to the correct trailhead we took the easy and mostly brush free route up the canyon. People were ready to turn around a quarter mile from the goal but I convinced them to go the rest of the way.
Glad we got there, it was an amazing oasis in the middle of the desert. Spectacular waterfalls and lots of swimming holes. I climbed straight up the left chute of the last waterfall, probably class 4 climbing on a short section but I would recommend the easier and safer route on the north.
The wildflowers should be out in force soon, saw only a couple early shoots. |
