After having decent luck with finding water even during such a dry winter, I tried my luck with a mogollon drainage for a spot I found on satellite/topo. After walking in a dry wash bed for a while, I knew I had struck out. Turned around after only a couple miles, though the geology raised my curiosity even more - till next spring. Decided to hit up the good old Tonto after for a quick float. Great to be back on the rim! (Stats are incorrect, I did not hike 11 miles)
