We wanted to check out some cool pools in Tonto Creek. So we headed into Tonto for the weekend near Green Valley Creek. Tough terrain to get into but the pools make it worth the effort. Took our floaties and a kayak paddle for maneuvering the pools. First time I’ve used a paddle with the floaty and it turned out to be a great idea. We really didn’t hike that far and spent the afternoon and next morning checking out the pools upstream. Late morning we packed up and hiked out back to the truck. Great to see this area again!
