| no partners | | I had half a day to kill in a new area while waiting to meet up with a friend. Looking at the map ahead of time, this one looked like it could be interesting. Our miserable winter has left this place depressingly dry, not nearly as picturesque as how Letty might capture it. A trio of adult cattle and two calves make just enough impact on the landscape here to subtract from the conditions even further.
A couple of pools required me to get my feet wet, and a 10-foot dryfall I wasn't sure about required a scrambly bypass. On the way back I proved that I was able to make the climb, cheered on by very large whipsnake.
I'd love to revisit this one when there's real water in it. There's real potential in this little strip of desert gem. |
