Had a couple hours to go enjoy the rain. Compared to recent meteorological events it seemed biblical, but in reality, I knew there would be little chance of finding water flowing on the surface anywhere. But I figured my best chance would be to take advantage of a barren ashen fire scar.

Full winter garb was needed as the temp hovered in the low 40s and the breeze was robust. About halfway through the rain returned in earnest and pelted us sideways. Fun!

It was great to get out and make prints in the ashmud! Hopefully it's enough to sprout some grass before the risk of heavier rain and erosion during the summer monsoon.
