| no partners | | Hiked an assortment of the Helix trails. Started on Lost Chromosome and headed east. Continued on Chain Ring, then Creek Loop, and Far East. Once I’d gone enough miles, I looped around on a short side trail, then headed back west on the same trails, completing both Creek Loop and Chain Ring.
Trails mostly in good shape. A few unbridged creek crossings, easy though. Saw some deer, squirrels, an eastern newt, turtles, and a lot of bugs. Smoky, thanks to the Canadian fires. Warm, but a lot of shade. Saw two bikers, nobody else. |
