| partners | | First hike as part of our three night stay at Rock Crossing campground near Blue Ridge reservoir.
Our goal was to hike Rock Crossing trail segments 18A, 18B, & 18C. We got an early evening start following the drive up from the valley and setting up camp.
Darkness did not take long to descend upon our little adventure. We completed the first two segments, but turned around after A&B as it was almost dark at that point. Most of the return hike was in the dark.
Interesting hike. We decided to try again to finish the whole thing on our last morning before returning home.
Saw an elk and lots of cool rock formations on the hike. Worthy destination.  |
