I decided to do something a little bigger since this may be the last cool day for the next six months.
There was only one other car in the lot when I started up Bursera. Chance of rain, so I brought my rain coat but didn't need it. Endured 27 drops of rain on the hike.
From Bursera I took Gila west to the National which has a new short reroute and some other trail maintenance done on it on the western portions.
I hiked to the end of the National and went up the Alta trail to Maricopa Peak. I finished the Alta and hiked east on Bajada to the Ranger trail. I hiked up the Ranger to the National, on to Goat Hill (of course), then down Ruins etc to complete the loop.
Ran into Mike, a friend, and then JJ in the parking lot. Good day. :)
