It was a beautiful morning to hit Wasson. Warm enough, but never really hot. Cactus were in bloom everywhere - I especially enjoyed the variety in color of the chollas. This extended the time we were on the trail a little - had to take a few pics! (of course, I didn't realize some of my camera settings were wonky, so they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped).
We left the TH at about 7:30am and had the trail and the peak to ourselves until we started to head down. As always, the decent down the Hugh Norris and Gould Mine trail was prettier than the way up. But up there, it's all good.
Such and amazing month of hiking. These four hikes have definitely proven to me that Tucson is the perfect place for a hiking junkie to live! Such variety and beauty! Viva the Old Pueblo! |
