Canyoneering is becoming much more popular and many canyons, such as these two, were never in a book or on a big site such as this one. In years past I have never seen another group in either of these canyons - today we heard or saw four different groups. I have also noticed a recent increase in canyoneering incidents/accidents and have heard some unbelievable storys from experienced canyoneerers who have recently come across ill-prepared "canyoneerers" who were an accident just waiting to happen. Enjoy the canyons and have fun, but I would caution you to get some proper training - please be safe - canyoneering is a lot more than just rappelling on a hike. |
