I've been wanting to do the Agua Caliente road for many years. Seeing that we might have some rain in our camp window this seemed like the perfect chance. We found a nice spot that gave us great views of the Eagletails, Saddleback and beyond. We got to do some hiking the day after we got there. But starting that night the rains came and came and came. Well our truck camper passed it's first rain test, Yeah! We came to realize that we couldn't leave if we wanted to because the rain was not stopping and the land was soaked. Alas, no hiking and we were forced to kick back and relax. I had the NYT crosswords, Deb a great book. We left to finish the road to Sundad and to I-8 and we saw the flood damage. Yep glad we didn't go farther in the first day, that and the whole time we were there after arriving Sun. we only saw 2 trucks. I was surprised I expected a lot more traffic. We got to Sundad, but we were both fighting a respitory infection, so we passed on hiking. Well next time.
