| no partners | | The first notable snowfall of the season took long enough to arrive, but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to take advantage of it. In somewhat unusual post-storm conditions, the skies cleared but it only got colder, and the wind whipped up hard. Temps registered from 21 to 24 and the breeze probably matched those numbers.
Nonetheless it was an enjoyable day breathing crisp air and trudging through the fresh pow. I always forget how much more effort it is to travel through snow than cruising down a nice desert trail lol. And I still wouldn't trade it for anything!
Despite the dry winter, some light surface flows in the larger drainages, which was a welcome sight. |
