Started Siphon Draw at 6AM was up at the saddle by 7am. Reached the top a little after 830am. The route up was icy and full of snow. All the hikers the day before had packed down the snow and was now refrozen making going slippery and dangerous. Once on top I snapped a few snow pics and started making my way down. This is where I was glad I brought the crampons- Yes CRAMPONS!! They were a great help and if I hadn't brought them I would have slipped several times possible with grave consequences. I guess there is a first for everything- Crampons in the Superstitions. Only in Arizona :D

Night hiked in to just B4 town and sacked up. Next am went through village dumped our packs and cont down to the colorado caught several trout for dinner and packed up after 3 great days. Water was chilly

Backpacked from payson along east verde to verde river then north to fossil springs and eventually to childs power plant for shuttle pickup. Caught countless small mouth bass and 1 lunker catfish
