I always start with Heliograph Peak.
From town we can see golden aspens along the upper east front of the mountain.
Headed up and chose the counter clock route.
A few splashes of red and yellow on the service road up.
Took in the great 10,022 ft views on top before heading down the Arcadia Trail.
Quite a bit of very good gold aspens on the way down to Eagle Rock (this is what we see from town).
Looking over to Mt Graham on the way to Shannon CG were some good pockets of gold and red.
Trail is in excellent shape and it got a bit chilly up there as the sun was going down.
Only wildlife encountered was a Spiny Tailed lizard missing it's tail.
The drive up and down the Swift Trail had a bit of color, but really hasn't got going good yet.
Always a favorite Graham hike (anytime of the year)!
