Hiked about a mile past the Pass. Lots of company on the trail. Saw the first flowers on the trail, Indian Paintbrush.

The views made up for the tax on the lungs. Saw 3 other people on the trail, with lots of people on their OHV's in Bulldog Canyon.

Enjoyed the hike. weather, and views. Crowded on the way down but people were accomodating when needing to pass them. Blossoms just starting to open.

Got an early start in the windy and cool weather. Saw few people on the way up, but on the way down there were several people with their dogs. Saw several Chuparosa in bloom.

This hike starts at the First Water Horse Lot and continues north to a hill where a 360 view can be seen. The hike starts on a horse trail and then a right turn is marked with a cairn. Cairns now mark the trail to the end. The hike can also be started by taking the trail to Hackberry Spring and then take a left turn at the large rock.

Hiked clockwise from Meridian road. Stopped at the Wind Cave parking location to use the facilities. Upon starting and for a Quarter mile, we gained two additional hikers who should have been going to the Wind Cave with another group. :oops: hikers. Eventually they figured they knew none of the hikers they were with.

Took the trail from the Pima Road parking lot to the National trail, then the Hidden Valley trail through Fat Man's Pass and then back to the parking lot on the National trail. We prefer to go past the Pass and then go through it on the way back down as this way seems easier and easier to follow.

Back again after being here Friday. The trails were crowded today with Bikers, Moms, and Kids. Went in a clockwise direction today. Again great hiking weather.

Blevins Trail

First hike on this trail. Went to the end, continued on the Blevins trail and took the Cats Peaks Pass to the high point. I lost the trail and bushwacked my way down to the Blevins trail, which I took to the Cats Peak trail. I completed the Cats Peak trail and then took the Meridian trail back to the car. Only saw one couple biking the trail. Since the trailhead is close to my home, I will do the rest on the connecting trails in the future.

The plan was to hike the Hackberry Spring Loop starting at the Horse Lot with my Monday Hiking Group. However at the trailhead, I realized that I forgot my hiking boots. With a compromised knee, I did not want to hike on the rocks in the stream bed. Aftyer a few jokes, the rest of the group went on their way as planned. I went up to the FW lot and continued to the intersection of the Dutchman (104) trail and the Second Water (236) trail. Retraced my steps and took the road(?) down to the FW ranch and then back to the Horse Lot. I then went up the hill north of the lot, then took short hikes on two horse trails heading west. I enjoyed hiking at a leasurely pace, but missed the trail banter with my friends.
