Water was very chilly with lots of swimming. I decided to wait at the waterfall while the rest of the group went ahead. I had a nice time soaking up the sun on some rocks and enjoying the solitude.

Great hike with 7 of us in the group. We started at Woodbury and did the loop backwards. We didn't see any other hikers until we reached the ruins, then it was pretty busy back to Rogers Trough. As we were walking back to Woodbury, we were offered a ride in the back of a truck. After 2 1/2 miles, we decided to get out and walk again to take pictures of the abundance of poppies and lupine.

A fantastic day of hiking with 3 AOTC hikers. We had not planned on making it all the way the to ranch, but when we stopped for lunch at Plow Saddle at noon, we decided to go another hour before turning back. I guess we didn't realize what great time we were making, and before we know it, we were at the ranch. Two of us had gotten ahead, so went down to the intersection with Fire Line and turned back and met the others at the site of the ranch house. After taking some photos, we hoofed it back to the parking lot to be sure we got out before dark. The two of us in the lead made in back in three hours and we had a pleasant wait sitting on the rocks overlooking Apache Lake for about a half an hour for the other members of the group.

Hiked all the way to the ridgeline and back down at a brisk pace with my husband and an experienced friend leading the way. Had a bit of trouble finding the trail just past the Petroglyphs due to all of the foliage; after that following the trail was fairly easy. We ran into another group of hikers at the top led by an amazing 84 year man. I hope I can still do this when I'm 84!

For our after-work hike, we decided to deviate from this loop to add some distance to make it a full 2 hour hike. We went up Javelina to National then back on Mormom to Javelina for a modified loop hike. Will definately be doing this one again.

Had a great day with a group of 6 lead by my new hiking friend Lil. We left a car a Peralta then drove down to the the Carney Springs TH. Huffed and puffed up Carney Springs then headed over to Robbers Roost. Along the way, a member of our group took a fall and had a agave needle tip driven quite deep into her arm. We were unable to extract it and had to just bandage it up. She was a real trooper and wanted us to continue to the Roost where we stopped for lunch. We made our way down to Fremont Saddle and then split up. Our injured hiker went down Peralta with two others and the rest of us went back on the Cave Trail.

Hiked this as in and out to Boulder Canyon due to the high water in the creek. Returned via Dutchman to Black Mesa. Beautiful clear day with lots of water running.
